APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • BIPDPLY is a JCL utility which allows you to run the mqsideploy
command on z/OS. If one of the arguments to this command needs
to contain a space character, there is no way to specify this in
    the JCL.

For example, if you want to delete a deployed jar file, you
would customize the JCL to contain the -d flag, with the jar
file name as the argument. If the jar file name contains a
space, the command will not work, and there is no way to escape
the space character such that it will work.

Problem conclusion

  • The product now allows you to use common XML mnemonic ( ) to
represent a space in mqsi commands, when run from a JCL utility
    on z/OS.
