PI21493: TWO DB2 COMMITS SEEN ON Z/OS WHEN COMMITTING A TRANSACTION

• When a message flow transaction is committed on z/OS it is
  possible that a DB2 commit may be driven twice, once from RRS
  via a broker call to MQCMIT and once from a direct call to
  commit the database work.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  When a message flow transaction is committed on z/OS it is
  possible that a DB2 commit may be driven twice, once from RRS
  via a broker call to MQCMIT and once from a direct call to

Problem conclusion

• The product no longer issues a DB2 commit when a MQCMIT has
  already committed the DB2 work.
  
  For users of WebSphere Message Broker V7.0, V8.0 and IBM
  Integration Bus V9.0, V10.0 this fix needs to be enabled by
  setting the following environment variable in the broker's
  ENVFILE:
  
    MQSI_DB2_COMMIT_WITH_MQ_COMMIT_RC0=false
