APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the customer applies a WebSphere v7 fixpack through the
Installation manager, a warning message is thrown stating that
the WSCustomConstants.properties is not found.  If the SCA
feature pack is installed, the message is that the
SOAFEPCustomConstants.properties is not found.

Local fix

  • the warning messages can be ignored

The problem is caused by a missing file,
WSCustomConstants.properties. This file will not be used when
managing a WebSphere Application Server installation with
Installation Manager.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix for this problem will no longer show the warning
message if WSCustomConstants.properties does not exist.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 1.0.1.19. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
page for delivery information:
