Error description

• Using OPT(2) during a COBOL 5.1 Compile the following is seen:
  
  IGYIN5125-U   The compilation was terminated due to a compiler
  error in phase id:  "IGYCINIT".
  
  IGYIN5295-U   The compilation failed due to an internal error
  detected in the compiler back-end.  The error code was  267.

  PERFORM statements and computations for the memory location of
  data items following OCCURS DEPENDING ON tables are inlined by
  the compiler. Programs with a large number of PERFORM statements
  or address computations of this type were overflowing an
  internal count of the number of inlined methods; use of the
  overflowed values caused a compiler abort.
  

Problem conclusion

• The compiler was fixed to allow programs to compile successfully
  with a much greater number of PERFORM statements and OCCURS
  DEPENDING ON tables.
