PI17415: RAA INVENTORY WIZARD FOR CICS OR IMS OR DB2 APPEARS TO COMPLETE BUT NO SCAN JOB IS SUBMITTED

Error description

RAA 6.1.0.3 or RAA 6.1.0.4 client has configured zosscan on
z/OS for scanning CICS, IMS, and DB2.  However, when they
complete the scanning wizard, no job appears to be submitted to
JES, and no import file is generated as they would expect.

Problem summary

The symptom is that the RAA UI think's it's submitted some JCL,
but there is no job to be found in SDSF, and possibly an entry
in the WAS log that indicates a 5199 message - "Unknown action
''".
With a Domino-based server, the server had a cgiparse utility
to read query parameters and POST data.   With the Apache-based
HTTP server, linein() is used to read the POST data.  The issue
is that REXX on z/OS limits a given line of text returned from
linein() to 2048 characters.   When the CICS job is submitted,
it's much larger.

Problem conclusion

RAA was updated with a change to the dmhremotefunctions.rexx
CGI to use charin() to read the POST data.  It doesn't have the
character limits that linein() does.
