NORENT programs with DSAs imbedded in the CSECT, and often using non-standard linkage, are getting no event information. 02. The user has a 3270 emulator which, when given a 'F2' or "Read Buffer" command, returns a data stream which contains SBA orders. FA did not have code to handle those SBAs. 03. Constants have a structure parent which can cause them to be processed as structure members. 04. Fault Analyzer is not correctly handling the abend, which might be expected during normal processing. 05. Fault Analyzer is using incorrect control block offsets to obtain the values. 06. When an MVS dump is used as input to Fault Analyzer to get a fault report on the dump, the ErrorHandler program names might not get recognized correctly because MVS dump input does not trigger FA Binder mapping of modules. 07. The pop-up panel reporting Listing/Side File Mismatch indicates ENTER will accept a current COBOL SYSDEBUG file, but it is ignored and no source for that program is presented. 08. DSECT has more fields than can be contained in single LANGX structure record, but only the first LANGX record is processed. 09. The count of ASCII and EBCDIC characters was incorrect. 10. FA processes all the trace entries in a particular trace block. 11. Storage re-allocation did not reset pointer into area. 12. Fault Analyzer RFR recovery after IDI0005 storage shortage can get IDI0089I Subsystem IDISLOG RC=8 Rsn=63 SDUMP usage error attempting to do a second SDUMP. 13. The return and reason code processing for SDUMP is not always correctly reported when issued from IBM Fault Analyzer.
Problem conclusion
01. Code added to detect the static DSA and at least show load module and CSECT data in the event list. 02. Fault Analyzer has been altered to handle SBA orders in the Read Buffer data stream. 03. Constants no longer processed as structure members. 04. Fault Analyzer is now handling the abend. 05. Fault Analyzer has been updated to use the correct offsets. 06. The ErrorHandler code will also check entry point name, if program name has not been determined for an event. 07. The code has been updated to accept the side file when possible. 08. Multiple LANGX structure records now processed for large assembler DSECTs. 09. The count of ASCII and EBCDIC characters has been corrected. 10. FA is changed to stop formatting once the current timestamp is less than the previous timestamp. 11. Symbol lookup pointer reset when storage area re-allocated. 12. The logic is corrected to determine if the RFR dump has already been taken. 13. Reason code processing corrected.
