PI16129: USERS CANNOT TAKE OWNERSHIP OF ANY WEB APPLICATIONS

APAR status

Error description

  • Customer have more than one tm1 server deployed in the same TM1
    application portal, for example.  Customer have Server A with a
    web application A and Server B with web application B  User A is
    admin in both servers, and he can enter and take in both
    application A and B.   User B is non-admin in both server and he
    can take ownership with no issue in both application.   The
    issue is on the user C, who is admin in Server A and non-admin
    in server B: this user C can take enter and take ownership on
    application A, but when e enter the application B and he try to
    take the ownership he get the error message.    STOP
    com.ibm.cognos.pmpsvc.PMPSVCException: An Exception occurred on
    the server. Please contact your system administrator.
    :com.cognos.ccl4j.exceptions.CCLNullArgumentException (root
    com.cognos.ccl4j.exceptions.CCLNullArgumentException): [CCLMsg:
    system text='Argument value is null'] :EXCEPTION   Customer is
    using the Cognos integrated authentication (security mode = 5).
    It doesn't matter if there is another user logged in while user
    C is trying to take the ownership.
