PI16056: FMN2POPT DOES NOT CURRENTLY ALLOW THE OMISSION OF A DATASET FOR SFMNMOD1

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• File Manager will be run using load libraries out of the
  LINKLIST, so no JCL is needed for SFMNMOD1 in FM's FMNFTEXC and
  FMN1FTEX job control skeletons. If the DB2 options macro,
  FMN2POPT, is coded with "SFMNMOD1=," the job receives:
  
  
  ** ASMA093E Substring expression 1 less than 1; default=null -
  FMN0P
  
  There is currently no way to set the default so the product
  does not generate a STEPLIB with SFMNMOD1.

  File Manager option SFMNMOD1 populates ISPF variable &FMNSMOD1.
  File Manager should be changed so that if a
  null value is provided (SFMNMOD1=,) then a //STEPLIB DD
  will not be generated during File Manager batch job generation.
  

Problem conclusion

• File Manager has been updated to correct the problem.
  File Manager skeletons FMNFTEXC and FMN1FTEX have been updated
  to allow for a null value of &FMNSMOD1.
  Equivalent FM DB2 skeleton FMN2FTSL already allows for this
  change.
