PI15352: UPDATING OF CRITERIA FAILED DURING TEMPLATE UPDATE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When updating template, error message "Updating of criteria
  failed" is received, resulting in condition code 8.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Coding template criteria that contains  *
  *                      any of the values OR, AND, NOT, EQUAL   *
  *                      or LRECL may cause one of the           *
  *                      following:                              *
  *                      1. Message FMNBA825 is issued when      *
  *                      editing the template criteria.          *
  *                      2. Message "Updating of criteria        *
  *                      failed" when attempting to update       *
  *                      the template with Option 7.4 or batch   *
  *                      BTU function.                           *
  *                      3. An ABENDS0C4 in FMNEDIT3 or          *
  *                      message FMNBE312 when updating the      *
  *                      template.                               *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  File Manager was using an uninitialized field for its expression
  conversion processing.
  

Problem conclusion

• File Manager has been modified to correct the problems.
