Error description

  • When a SAVE command is entered, after inserting a duplicate key
    row and then subsequently deleting it, message 'Commit issued
    (Errors)' is incorrectly received from FM/DB2.

    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of File Manager DB2 component.     *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In the File Manager DB2 component       *
    *                      editor, message 'Commit issued          *
    *                      (Errors)' is issued after an explicit   *
    *                      SAVE when no rows are marked in error.  *
    *                      The failing scenario is described       *
    *                      below:                                  *
    *                      1.  Edit a DB2 table with a unique      *
    *                      index.                                  *
    *                      2.  Repeat any existing row twice.      *
    *                      3.  Change one of the new rows so that  *
    *                      the unique index key value is unique.   *
    *                      4.  Press PF3, message 'Commit issued   *
    *                      (Errors)' is issued, the other new row  *
    *                      is marked in error.                     *
    *                      5.  Delete the row marked in error.     *
    *                      6.  Issue an explicit SAVE command.     *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
    ****************************************************************
    

Problem conclusion

    problem.
