APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Historically, when multiple catalog primaries within a catalog
cluster resulted from a brownout recovery, the eXtreme Scale
domain or appliance collective was rendered corrupt. This
scenario required manual intervention to make primary shards
consistent again, or quorum was used to prevent change when
    quorum was violated.

    ****************************************************************
With this fix, when the healing of brownouts lead to a
partitioned catalog cluster with multiple primaries (as noted
by the CWOBJ1506 log), 1 of the multiple primaries, and
any containers also affected by the brownout, now restart. The
domain recovers to a valid state automatically.
