PI11460: FILE MANAGER CUSTOMIZATION GUIDE SHOWS DIFFERENT VALUES FOR SCRNAME

Error description

  • When customizing the operating environment for FM/DB2, the
SCRNAME has different values on different pages in the manual.

On page 107 of FM V11 Customization Guide, it shows
SCRNAME (FMDB2), then on page 108 it show SCRNAME(FMNDB2).

While an installer of FM can change this name, the names
showing in the Customization Guide should consistently show
"FMDB2".

In Figure 7 on page 109, the example shows:
'PANEL(FMN2ST00) SCRNAME(FMDB2) NEWAPPL(FMN2)'.
On page 109, the text shows:
'PANEL(FMN2ST00) OPT(&ZPARM) SCRNAME(FMNDB2)'.
The SCRNAME value shown on page 109 should be 'FMDB2'.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The File Manager Customization Guide SC19-3673-01 will be
updated to correct the problem.

In the File Manager Customization Guide SC19-3673-01, Chapter 13
'Customizing the operating environment for DB2', section
'Defining FM/DB2 in an ISPF command table':
Change:
Action: SELECT PANEL(FMN2ST00) OPT(&ZPARM) SCRNAME(FMNDB2)
SUSPEND NEWAPPL(FMN2)

To:

Action: SELECT PANEL(FMN2ST00) OPT(&ZPARM) SCRNAME(FMDB2)
