PI10986: DATASTORE ABENDS WITH S878 RC14 IN EQQFSDES MODULE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The datastore task abends with S878 rc14 out of the module
  EQQFSDES
  on a PC (Program Call) instruction into module IGVVSTOR for
  obtaining
  storage but the length of the requested area was a negative
  value (i.e.
  x'FFFF807E'):
  The Data Store task does a GETMAIN with a negative amount of
  bytes.
  The problem could be reproduced and this APAR has been opened to
  correct
  this code error.

• Due to an incorrect check on the GDG name, during the GDG
  resolution name, the length passed to a getmain is set
  with an incorrect value.
