PI10858: WMQ V7.1.0 FOR Z/OS ABEND0C4 IN CSQMDCON AT OFFSET X1010 WHEN RETRIEVING ALL HANDLES FOR THE CONNECTION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ABEND0C4 in CSQMDCON at offset x1010 when finding
  all handles for the connection .
  The Abend 0C4  occurred on return from calling CSQMDCOH
  because R5 contained 7FFFF000 which should have been
  loaded from MTHR + x2C.
  The problem is that the RALE at  address pointed to by R4
  well indicated a RMID of MMC, but at ABEND  time field
  RALEMRUS is zero.

  While issuing a DISPLAY CONN command, the queue manager
  iterates over the list of connected applications
  gathering information for the command.
  
  If, while the connection is being processed the related
  application disconnects, the underlying control blocks
  may be freed and an abend occurs in the DISPLAY CONN
  processing.
  

Problem conclusion

• Processing has been amended so that if we encounter a
  problem with a connection that results in an abend,
  we will ignore that connection and continue processing
  the rest in the list without abending.
