PI10557: FM/IMS EXTRACT WITHOUT SELECTION CRITERIA RESULTS IN ABEND0C4, WITH SELECTION CRITERIA THE CONCATENATED KEY GETS CORRUPTED.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When running FM/IMS extract with selection criteria, receive
  ABEND0C4 when trying to write the concatenated key to the
  extract file. Also when running the extract with selection
  criteria, the concatenated key fields in the extract file are
  getting corrupted.
  
  Both of the issues above are variations caused by the
  concatenated key being greater than 256 bytes in length.

  The FM/IMS functions do not correctly handle database segments
  when the length of their concatenated keys exceed 255 bytes.
  

Problem conclusion

• FM/IMS has been modified to correct this problem.
