    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
The problem occurs when a batch job is running using an eight
    character userid.
FM/IMS assumes that the userid is a TSO userid and truncates
the userid to seven characters. This causes an error when the
truncated userid is used as a High level qualifier for the
    data set to be defined.
This problem may also occur with any File Manager function
that allocates a temporary catalogued data set in batch mode.

Problem conclusion

  • File Manager has been updated to correct the problem.
