    ****************************************************************
    1. The -STOP ACCEL command uses a single command task for
processing. If the command is waiting for long running
queries to complete, no other ACCEL commands can be executed.
In addition, if the command is issued from the console, no
other commands from that console will be honored until the
       command completes.

    2. -STOP ACCEL MODE(FORCE) does not obtain the correct
serialization to terminate in process accelerated queries.
This may result in improper processing and subsystem
       termination.

    3. During -START ACCEL command processing, an ABEND04E
RC00E70005 may be encountered in CSECT DSNX8STA if the
accelerator entry has been deleted from the catalog.

    4. After the start of an accelerator (either by command or
via startup automation), an ABEND0D6 may occur in CSECT
DSNX8EKG if Distributed Data Facility (DDF) services are not
       available.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 -STOP ACCEL and -START ACCEL command processing has been
corrected to handle the reported issues.

NOTE: There are 1 changed message and 4 new messages added
to better describe the state of a given accelerator.

The changed message is as follows:
