PI09332: LOOP IN TWSZ 9.1 CONTROLLER WHEN A TCP/IP CONNECTED TRACKER IS ACTIVE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a TCPIP connected tracker is active for some period of
  time, the controller which that IP tracker is connected to
  goes into a loop (as much as 100% of CPU ); however the loop
  is not solid - if another task on the same LPAR requires CPU
  cycles it can obtain them.  The loop appears to go away for
  a period of time if a job is submitted that the TCP/IP tracker
  has to track - but it returns again after a few minutes.  This
  behavior has only been observed for a controller running
  TWSz 9.1.

• The problem is solved by checking the work ECB before
  checking if a new connection is required.
