APAR status

Error description

  • If install files for an Interim Fix are missing files
    ..zipfiles/winx64h/*-inst.tar.gz files, the installation
    application runs and fails to open the missing *-inst.tar.gz
    archives and fails to install the files to the Cognos BI
    installation directory.  However the installation application
    updates the cmplst.txt file as though the files are installed
    and the ..\instlog\*_summary_error.txt fails to indicate and
    error and logs all selected components were transferred
    successfully.??The tl-*.txt transfer list file logs entries
    indicating failure to open tar files.??Failed to open tar file
    "<path>\*-inst.tar.gz".?Failed to list entries for tar file
    "<path>\*-inst.tar.gz".?Failed to extract file "." from tar file
    "<path>\*-inst.tar.gz".
