APAR status

Error description

  • Links to IBM Rational Requirements Composer (RRC) or Rational
    DOORS Next Generation artifacts in workitems do not open.
    Steps to Reproduce :
    1.  In Eclipse Client, open a Work Item which has a related RRC
    artifact
    2.  Set Mozille Firefox as the External Browser to use
    Go to Window > Preferences > General > Web Browser and Add
    Firefox browser and select radio button to "Use external web
    browser".
    3.  Attempt to open the linked artifact > Nothing happens
    <<<<<< Deviation
    -  Notice a one second message saying "Opening references.." in
    bar below the Eclipse client. Otherwise nothing happens.
    -  Eclipse workspace .log file contains entries similar to :

            !MESSAGE Launching C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla
    Firefox\firefox.exe has failed.
            !STACK 0
            java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "C:\Program":

    The linked artifact should open in Firefox successfully.
    More Observations / Work Around:
    a.  Change the Eclipse Browser Preferences to Microsoft
    Internet Explorer
    OR
    b.  Set Browser to use System Default with Firefox set as
    Default
    OR
    c.  Modify the Mozilla Firefox path to contain the short names
    (no spaces)
    and it works as expected
