HttpSession attributes always go to the grid after override was set to true.
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere eXtreme Scale clients using * * WebSphere eXtreme Scale HTTP session * * management. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The WebSphere eXtreme Scale Client * * always * * goes to the remote grid to retrieve * * session data. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** An internal check determines whether a session in the local in-memory cache is potentially stale. When it is determined that the session data might be stale, the session data is retrieved from the remote data grid. However, after the data is identified as potentially stale, all subsequent requests use the remote data grid to retrieve session data. The local in-memory cache is no longer used.
Problem conclusion
WebSphere eXtreme Scale goes to the remote data grid to retrieve session data only when it is necessary.
