  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • FCH goes into an endless loop when removing blank spaces. The
utility  should fail with syntax error or complete requested
change operation.

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The File Manager Find/Change utility    *
*                      may loop when using the Change command  *
*                      if the length of the replacing string   *
*                      is zero.                                *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
****************************************************************
The length of the field being changed is being incorrectly
calculated when the length of the replacing string is zero.

Problem conclusion

  • File Manager has been modified to correct this problem.
