    ****************************************************************
An auxiliary storage shortage hang may occur when DB2 is
processing a very large query involving many tables.

The problem occurs because DB2 is allocating too much
storage that ends up not being used during the access
    path generation.

Problem conclusion

  • The auxiliary storage shortage problem described above
is fixed by freeing unused storage when DB2 generates
    the access path.
