Description :
The issue occurs when you have an Assembler program that has
the following lines of code for example :
* COPY xxxxx + yyyyy TITLE '- zzzz'
and the COPY line has a continuation "+" in column 72, but this
is followed by a blank line.
This is valid in Assembler and is historic from when listings
were printed.
However the dependency scanner is not recognizing the xxxxx copy
as a copybook, and the Assembler build fails.

Local fix

  • The continuation "+" in column 72 can be removed manually.
