  • The listener TCB performs additional processing for CHLAUTH in
ccxCheckPeerBlocked.This processing is unnecessary in the
customer's environment as they have CHLAUTH set to DISABLED.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Inbound channels perform unnecessary    *
*                      processing which may lead to slower     *
*                      channel connections if a large number   *
*                      of clients attempt to connect           *
*                      simultaneously.                         *
****************************************************************
When an inbound channel connects, additional processing is
performed by the listener for the CHLAUTH function. This
additional processing is performed regardless of whether
the CHLAUTH function is DISABLED or ENABLED. The additional
processing is unnecessary if CHLAUTH is DISABLED.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Where a customer has disabled CHLAUTH, the additional CHLAUTH
processing performed by the listener task when an inbound
channel starts is bypassed.
