Error description

• Activation of the row format up-conversion capability of the DB2
  V12.1 IFI will up convert table row formats for all row changes
  that are supplied by the IFI, if they are not at the current
  row format version.  Since IIDR CDC for z/OS may discard a
  number of the tables' rows based on aspects of the configuration
  settings and use of the product, the CPU spent by the activated
  feature may be wasted and can be excessive.

Problem conclusion

• The modules CHCDLRGP and CHCDSLGP were updated to not engage
  IFI option to up-convert table row formats by default.
