  • Abend5C6-00D40099 may occur when getting grouped messages from
a shared queue indexed by Group ID with
MQGMO_ALL_MSGS_AVAILABLE specified.

This problem was solved by Apar PI79688 for MQ V9.0.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Abend S5C6-00D40099 may occur when      *
*                      getting grouped messages from a shared  *
*                      queue indexed by Group ID with          *
*                      MQGMO_ALL_MSGS_AVAILABLE specified.     *

When attempting to get grouped messages from a shared queue and
specifying MQGMO_ALL_MSGS_AVAILABLE, an internal reference to
the message data may not be correctly initialized and as a
result, can prevent the MQGET from succeeding.

Problem conclusion

  • Processing has been amended to ensure the internal pointer to
the message data is correctly initialized.
