APAR status

Error description

  • The WebSphere Liberty supplied ws-schemagen.jar tool was run
against a z/OS Connect EE installation to generate a schema
file, which can be used to validate server.xml configuration
files.

The tool reported the following messages:

CWWKG0073W: Unable to find the metatype localization files in
bundle com.ibm.zosconnect.service.db/1.0.0.20200710-1009.

CWWKG0030E: Pid reference com.ibm.ims.gateway.config.message
listed on ibm:reference extension does not exist.

Local fix

  • The error is reported as localization files are missing for IMS
service provider.

When running the WebSphere Liberty provided ws-schemagen.jar
tool, the reported messages were written because the IMS DB
service provider (introduced at z/OS Connect EE V3.0.31.0) did
not supply metatype globalization files.

  • z/OS Connect EE has been updated to include globalization files
for the IMS DB service provider and fix the problem reported by
the ws-schemagen.jar tool.

The fix for this APAR is expected to be delivered by the PTF for
z/OS Connect EE V3.0.42.0 (PH32853).
