PH29412: IBM MQ 9.1 LTS CSQM090E OCCURS AFTER CLEARING QUEUE

Error description

• CSQM090E occurs after clearing a queue.
  The 00C9000C reason code is CSQI_OBJECT_IN_USE
  and is issued when open handles are found against the queue
  associated
  with the storage class OR when the PSID to be used is NOT set to
  CSQI_UNSUSED_PSID.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When clearing all queues that use a     *
  *                      specific STGCLASS, and then attempting  *
  *                      to use ALTER STGCLASS to change the     *
  *                      PSID associated with that STGCLASS, a   *
  *                      CSQM090E occurs, indicating that the    *
  *                      STGCLASS is still being used, despite   *
  *                      all of the queues being empty.          *
  ****************************************************************
  The 00C9000C reason code is CSQI_OBJECT_IN_USE and is issued
  when open handles are found against the queue associated
  with the storage class OR when the PSID to be used is NOT set to
  CSQI_UNUSED_PSID.
  
  The PSID associated (through a STGCLASS) with an emptied queue
  was not always reset to CSQI_UNUSED_PSID when the MQGET or
  MQCLEAR commands were executed.
  

Problem conclusion

• CSQISTC1 has been updated to prevent this issue from occurring.
