    *                      connections time out.                   *
    ****************************************************************
    The IMS TMRA included in the z/OS Connect EE IMS service
    provider had an issue with handling concurrent request for SAF
    keyring TLS connections. Each connection factory attempted to
    create a new connection instance with a secure socket to IMS
    Connect. The creation of the first connection caused the other
    connection to wait and subsequently timeout.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

Comments

  • z/OS Connect EE has been updated with the latest version of IMS
    TMRA for which this issue has been resolved. The updated TMRA
    creates a cache of the TLS connections, improving performance
    and eliminating the time-out issue.

    The fix for this APAR is expected to be delivered by the PTF for
    z/OS Connect EE V3.0.33.0 (PH24143).
