Error description

  • When a Liberty JVM server is enabled in CICS, the -clean option
is set, which causes Liberty to clear its workarea. This means
that any state from previous runs is lost.

When a Liberty JVM server is enabled in CICS, the -clean option
is set, which causes Liberty to clear its workarea. This means
that any state from previous runs is lost.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been updated to start Liberty without the -clean option
so that the workarea is preserved. Additionally, the last
modified timestamps of applications installed via CICS bundles
remain unchanged. This ensures that Liberty does not incorrectly
believe that the application has been updated.
