  *                 who are compiling with the PARMCHECK         *
  *                 compiler option, have a group item           *
  *                 containing an elementary item defined as a   *
  *                 POINTER as the very last item in the         *
  *                 WORKING-STORAGE SECTION, and an INITIALIZE   *
  *                 statement for this group item in the         *
  *                 source.                                      *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Incorrect output: Message IGYPS2047-W   *
  *                      "INITIALIZE" statement operand          *
  *                      "group-item" did not meet conditions    *
  *                      for initialization. "group-item" was    *
  *                      not initialized., does not get emitted  *
  *                      into the compiler listing.              *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

  When the PARMCHECK option is specified, the compiler creates a
  data item buffer that represents the end of the WORKING-STORAGE
  section. This WORKING-STORAGE item was not added to the list of
  known working storage items which are tracked by the compiler.
  This only presented a problem in very limited cases, such as
  the one documented in this APAR.
  

Problem conclusion

• The compiler was changed to add the data buffer for the
  PARMCHECK data item to the list of known data items in the
  WORKING-STORAGE section.
