Error description

  • When a report contains a non-ascii character such as à, è, ù,
    and the header Accept-Encoding is stripped out, then the report
    returns an error. Content Manager did not return an object for
    the requested search path
    'CAMID("LocalLDAP:u:uid=admin,ou=people")/folder[@name='My
    Folders']/report[@name='? New report']'.
    The reason this can be an issue is that clients may implement
    Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (Forefront TMG)
    which can strip the Accept-Encoding header. Even if we go
    directly against the dispatcher and use a plugin like ModHeader
    in Chrome and pass a blank Accept-Encoding header, the report
    service throws the error.
    
    The client considers this an oversight on our part since when
    going directly against the dispatcher the Accept-Encoding header
    is not passed at all. So if we can resolve that, we should be
    able to resolve one when it is blank.
