Error description

  • Steps to reproduce:
    1. Using an existing Cognos install with a namespace setup
    (tested with LDAP but customer used AD), create a second
    namespace with the exact same details as your original
    namespace.
    2. Add parantheses to the namespace ID and name of the namespace
    e.g. for a namespace called ApacheDS, changed to ApacheDS
    (office). This reflects what the customer was testing.
    3. Under "Selectable for authentication?" in the namespace
    properties of the original namespace, select "False".
    4. Restart the Cognos service.
    5. Log into your ApacheDS (office) namespace.
    6. Upload a file (tested with Excel files and Word docs), and
    error will come up "MSR-SMT-2190 Internal error trying to create
    smart metadata."
    7. Create a dashboard,
    8. Select the GO data warehouse(query) package as a source
    9. Select any data item from the package and drag it into the
    dashboard
    10. An erro similar to, "The requested 'data set' with ID
    '4099568274_87b9bf7b082d4b4dae37636dd623046b_sessionTemp' could
    not be found." will appear.
