PH08128: ISSUES WITH SELF-DRILLING REPORT WITH PROMPTS DRILLING INTO SAMEREPORT FORMAT

Error description

  • Overview:
    When running the report Test_01, everytime the user clicks
    'Reload', the page should reload and the user should get
    prompted to add a value into the prompt. Instead, if the report
    is run with full interactivity set to 'No', the page returned is
    blank. If the report is run with full interactivity set to
    'Yes', the report reloads, when 'Reload' is clicked but does not
    prompt the user to enter a value even when the Display prompt
    pages option is set to 'Always' in the drill-through
    definitions. The Report outputs to HTML and the issue is seen
    when running the report in HTML. There is no change in report
    format. This issue was first noted in R13 but has been seen in
    11.1.1 as well
    
    Steps to recreate:
    1. Copy the report spec included, Test_01.xml and paste it to a
    new report.
    2. Save the report in My Content as Test_01.
    3. Edit the Drill-through definition on the hyperlink, 'Reload'.
    4. Change the target report to Test_01 in the location you saved
    it to i.e. My Content
    5. Set the default action to 'Run the report' and the Format  to
    'HTML'
    6. Set Display prompt pages to 'Always'
    7. From the report properties, set Full interactivity to 'No'
    8. Run the report in HTML, enter a any value and click finish.
    Then click reload. The page will go blank.
    9. Change Full interactivity to 'Yes'
    10. Run the report as a HTML, enter any value and click finish,
    Then, click reload, report will reload but will not prompt you
    again.
    
    Included is the Test_01.xml file. It contains no customer data
    and is just a report spec with a prompt and a self-drilling
    drill through definition.
