    *                 Release 1 Modification 0.                    *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Applications using AMS hang when *
    * insufficient AMS worker tasks are *
    *                      available.                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When an application accesses an AMS protected queue, requests
    are passed to worker tasks in the AMSM address space. If no
    tasks are available when a request is made, the request is
    added to a chain for processing when a task becomes available,
    either due to completing an inflight request, or due to a new
    task being started.
    An error in the chaining logic for some request types can lead
    to those requests being incorrectly removed from the chain of
    pending work. This results in those requests never being
    processed, and the task requesting them remaining hung.

Problem conclusion

  • The chaining logic in CSQ0KRPT and CSQ0KRUP is changed to
    prevent the requests being incorrectly dechained.
