Error description

  • Unexpected state for a new subscription associated with an
    object in cluster cache which had expired subscriptions. The new
    subscription is driven by a manual define for a CLUSSDR channel
    on a partial repository to point to a Full Repository.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A partial repository's Cluster Cache is *
    * in an unexpected state resulting in a *
    * message getting stuck on the transmit *
    *                      queue or an MQRC 2085                   *
    *                      MQRC_UNKNOWN_OBJECT_NAME.               *
    ****************************************************************
    When adding a partial repository to a new cluster the partial
    repository can end up in an unexpected state where it does not
    have a complete set of subscriptions for QMGR objects in all
    clusters that it is part of.

    This can result in message delivery failures in the cluster
    where a subscription is missing. This can be seen by a message
    getting stuck on the transmit queue or a MQRC 2085
    MQRC_UNKNOWN_OBJECT_NAME being thrown.

Problem conclusion

  • The process to add a partial repository to a cluster has been
    corrected so that it will always have a complete set of
    subscriptions for all QMGR objects in its cache for all
    clusters that it is a part of.
