Error description

  • COBOL compiler aborts with messages IGYAS5125-U / IGYAS5295-U
    when called from Migration Utility (MU) during conversion of
    Easytrieve source to COBOL.

    *                      IGYAS5125-U   The compilation was       *
    *                      terminated due to a compiler error in   *
    *                      phase id:  "IGYCASMB".                  *
    *                                                              *
    *                      IGYAS5295-U   The compilation failed    *
    *                      due to an internal error detected in    *
    *                      the compiler back-end.  The error code  *
    *                      was 9680.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
    ****************************************************************
    A structure that was used to communicate information between
    various components of the compiler had become slightly out of
    sync between those components.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler was updated to ensure that the interface structure
    will be guaranteed to be in sync between all compiler
    components going forward.
