Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server * * administrators of OpenID Connect * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The OIDC TAI only intercepts https * * requests when httpsRequired is set to * * true. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Install a fix pack or interim fix that * * contains this APAR. * **************************************************************** When the OpenID Connect (OIDC) Relying Party (RP) Trust Association Interceptor (TAI) provider_<id>.httpsRequired custom property is set to true, the TAI will only intercept https requests.
Problem conclusion
The OIDC TAI is incorrectly associating the httpsRequired property with the inbound request URL. The inbound request URL should only be affected by the configured filter. The OIDC TAI is updated continue processing http requests when httpsRequired is set to true. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.15 and 9.0.0.11.
