Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of z/OS Connect EE V3. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Failed updates to an API can cause the * * .aar file to be deleted from the z/OS * * Connect EE server. * **************************************************************** While updating an API, if the updated API was not valid, z/OS Connect EE would remove the existing .aar file from the file system without replacing it with the updated version. This caused a previously working API to be removed from the server.
Problem conclusion
Temporary fix
Comments
z/OS Connect EE has been changed so that an existing .aar file will not be removed if the updated .aar file is not valid. This prevents a valid API being removed when an update fails. The fix for this APAR is expected to be delivered by the PTF for z/OS Connect EE V3.0.18.0 (PH07350).
