Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: All Db2 11 and 12 for z/OS users.            *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users who have pagesets in the basic    *
  *                      LRSN format may run into application    *
  *                      outages.                                *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available.         *
  ****************************************************************
  Logs were exceeding the 6 byte LRSN limit for the basic format
  and causing loss of service. The solution is to run a REORG to
  convert basic pagesets to the extended format. However, many
  users were not aware that their pagesets need to be converted.

• In order to remind users to convert to the extended 10 byte
  format, message DSNB233I is issued for the first 20 physical
  pageset opens. This message displays the partition information,
  reminding users that it is in need of conversion.
