APAR status

Error description

• NetView's SSI terminates with a non-zero return code and
  the return code is un-documented.  There were no messages
  or abends issued.

  A segment of code had been moved into a subroutine, with the
  call to the subroutine expecting a return code back. However,
  this subroutine doesn't return a return code, so what the
  compiler does is uses what was last in register 15. This would
  be either the result of a SYSEVENT macro with TRANSWAP specified
  (if a SCHEDxx member with a PPT statement with PGMNAME(CNMINIT)
  and NOSWAP was being used) or the result of the subsequent WAIT
  macro (if CNMINIT hadn't been defined with NOSWAP). The
  documentation for both of these macros indicates that register
  15 is used as a work register, so whatever ends up in register
  15 is what the code will use as the return code. If this is
  non-zero, the SSI terminates with that value as the return code.
  

Problem conclusion

• Module CNMINIT is being changed such that the subroutine returns
  a relevant return code.
