Error description

  • If the threshold are both defined for DSKNAME and MOUNTPT in
    the override and the situation formula includes the GE and LE
    operators, ITM622FP9 can't work for the situation based on the
    attribute group Unix Disk. The override is distributed to the
    agents as the following. ITM621FP3 can work properly
    <situation name="icbc_test2" active="Y"
    originnode="VIPBJ01SP01L57:KUX" priority="100"
    lastupdate="1130622083132000"
    objname="icbc_test2_____D9AC0A85C3A64635" >
                    <key column="DSKNAME" value="/dev/hd10opt">
                    <key column="MOUNTPT" value="/opt">
                            <threshold column="PCTSPCUSED"
    value="75" operator="GE" ></threshold>
                            <threshold column="PCTSPCUSED"
    value="85" operator="LE" ></threshold>
                    </key>
                    </key>
            </situation>

Local fix

  • 1) As "Mount Point" and "Name" both have unique value, one
    filter has the same function with two filter. Suggest customer
    delete one filter in current expression
    2) If customer want to use two filter, create another
    expression in override situation. One filter is set in one
    expression

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: NESTED OVERRIDES ARE FILTERING OUT *
    *                      MATCHING ROWS.                          *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
    Nested overrides are filtering out matching rows. If an
    override is defined with two attributes then it would not
    consider the second nested attribute for filtering data out.
    As a result, the situation would not fire as expected.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been modified to correctly process nested
    overrides.
