Error description
Starting the NetView Enterprise Management Agent Interface started task, message "DWO050E MODULE: CNME8200 RC: 8, MAIN PPI session terminating Reason Code: 00000206" is issued. Reason Code 206 is not documented.
Local fix
The 206 reason code is coming from the NetView EMA agent, it indicates a PPI buffer parsing problem in registration data sent from NetView to the agent. This is most likely caused by the agent code being back level. Verify the agent code that is running is at the same level as the NetView code. It may be that the agent's STEPLIB needs to be updated.

The IBM Tivoli NetView for z/OS Command Reference Volume 1 (A-N) Version 6 Release 1 (SC27-2847-02) should be changed as follows: In Chapter 2. NetView commands and command descriptions, under the NACMD (NCCF; CNME8200) command description, following the Return Code Meanings, add the following: Reason codes for return code 8 Reason Code Meaning 100-103 Duplicate name 201 PPI not available 202 Data too long 203 Receive failed 204 Unknown command 205 Failed to add user access (UA) token to the data space (DS) 206 Bad parse Note: The most likely cause for this reason code is that the TEMA agent code is back level. 207 Duplicate node name 208 Unknown reason 209 Duplicate receiver name 210 Failed to get DS 212 Failed to expand DS 214 Duplicate PPI receiver name 215 Receiver already active 216 Sender already active Also align all the Return Code Meaning lines for return codes 8 and 12 to start in the same column as the word 'Meaning' in the heading line for return codes. The online command help for the NACMD command is being changed to reflect the above.
