Error description

• Levelset for the NetView portion of IBM Automation Control for
  z/OS (IAC, IACz) V1R1.
  This APAR will contain last-minute fixes that were coded since
  the GA tape was cut.

  The following problems are being addressed by this APAR:
  - The Automation Agent started task allows for multiple
    instances of the started task on an LPAR. There can be only
    one.
  - The help for message DSI823I talks about NVSS, which is not
    relevant to the product. It should refer to IBM Automation
    Control.
  - The NVINFO (CNME9003) CLIST has the following problems:
    - If message IEA793I, IEA911E or IEA611I is ASSIGNed to
      another operator when NVINFO is run, and that message is
      issued, it is not displayed at the operator task issuing
      the NVINFO command.
    - If the suppression character (defined by the SuppChar style
      statement) is not the default question mark (?), the CLIST
      terminates with errors.
  - The symptom string in a dump taken by the NetView ESTAE
    routine DSIMSX contains an incorrect Component ID (COMPID) in
    the PIDS keyword. It should be 5698LSA01.
  - The problems described by APAR OA40854. See that APAR for
    details of the problems addressed.
  - SETSSI ADD is not working correctly when attempting to avoid
    an IPL after product or PTF install.
  - The subsystem used by Automation Control is required to be the
    first SUBSYS statement which has INITRTN(DSI4LSIT). It should
    instead allow any of these subsystem names to be used, as long
    as there is only one instance of Automation Control in an
    LPAR.
  - Main menu (CNM1NETV) contains minor errors.
  - The Event/Automation Service started task fails to start,
    because the data set containing the messages it issues was
    never allocated by product installation. Also, the part that
    contains the messages was not shipped as part of the product.
  - The CNME9004 service tool is not included.

Comments

• Code is being modified to correct the problems listed above.
  Also, part IHSAMSG1 is being shipped as a new part, which will
  be installed into new target library SDUIMSG1 and new
  distribution library ADUIMSG1. Instructions for allocating these
  data sets and defining the new SMP/E DDDEFs are being included
  in the PTF.
