Error description

  • Found an issue where the detail tracing is enabled when the
exception tracing specifies abend codes.  This does not happen
if the exception tracing is for CPU or other attributes,
only abend code.

*                 and V5.1.0 using ATF.                        *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ATF trace data is written to the ATF    *
*                      detail journal when exceptions only     *
*                      trace filter parameters are specified.  *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply this PTF.                              *
****************************************************************
When a trace filter is defined with Exception Only value
'Y' and a non-blank ABEND Code, ATF trace data not matching
the trace filter is being written to the  ATF detail journal.
The correct action for the filter is to only write to the ATF
exceptions journal matching trace data.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Exception only processing logic is corrected to properly
suppress writing of ATF trace data to the ATF detail journal.
