OA41433: ABEND0C4 IN ISPDTD AFTER TBDISPL SERVICE. 13/02/19 PTF PECHANGE

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• 1.Application is invoked from the primary menu,
  and performs a number of CONTROL DISPLAY SAVE ISPF calls
  followed by a greater number of CONTROL DISPLAY RESTORE calls.
  Eventually ISPF experiences ABEND0C4 in ISPDTD on return from a
  TBDISPL service call.
  2.(5655-W34) and DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS
  (5655-W36).
  Both products are issuing SAVEs in recursive subroutines that
  handle DISPLAY PANEL() or TBDISPL and prior to leaving the
  subroutines, RESTORE is performed.  This can lead to multiple
  SAVEs that causes ISPF ABEND0C4 on return for A TBDISP before
  their respective RESTOREs occurs,
  MSGISPP147 is not being issued reliably.

  ADDPOP is issued followed by CONTROL DISPLAY SAVE. The
  application then issues REMPOP and CONTROL DISPLAY RESTORE.
  The application incorrectly experiences MSGISPP147.
  
  If the application issued CONTROL DISPLAY RESTORE and then
  REMPOP no problems would be encountered.
  

Problem conclusion

• ISPF is changed to correct the problem.
