APAR status

Error description

  • If EPILOG autostarts DEXAN then GLOBAL=99 is used rather than
existing GLOBAL

Local fix

  • Workaround is to alter EPILOG startup to specify GLOBAL=xx

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: All OMEGAMON XE for IMS on z/OS v4.2.0 and   *
*                 V5.1.0 using RTA.                            *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1 OIR066 USER GLOBAL TABLE SUFFIX       *
*                        MISMATCH message.                     *
*                      2 U0036 abend after starting RTA        *
*                        using the IRTA ON command.            *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
1 When starting EPILOG before RTA or DEXAN, the user may
  receive an OIR066 GLOBAL SUFFIX mismatch message because
  EPILOG does not set the GLOBAL suffix.

2 When the IRTA ON command and an RTA display command,
  IRSP, SRSP, or GRSP, are on the same screen, the user may
  get a U0036 abend. The actual start of RTA is performed
  by a different TCB than the one processing commands.

Problem conclusion

  • 1 The GLOBAL= parameter has been added to the START EPILOG
  command of the KEICOLxx member of RKANPARU.

2 The flags indicating that RTA has initialized are not
  set until all the control blocks are built.
