OA40793: ABEND U0100 IN KDFDEVSU AFTER DYNAMIC I/O RECONFIGURATION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Following a dynamic I/O reconfiguration, KDFDEVSU places a lock
  on the device table while it builds and new one. If a query is
  run against the device table while this is happening, KS3LDEV
  will not be able to obtain the lock but may free it anyway,
  incorrectly. This occurs because the lock-held indicator is not
   being initialized properly when KS3LDEV starts. If this happens
  KDFDEVSU will incur a U0100 ABEND when it tries to free the lock
  which has already been freed
