* USERS AFFECTED: All OMEGAMON XE for IMS on z/OS              *
*                 V4.2.0 and V5.1.0 using TRF                  *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Improvements to TRF recovery so         *
*                      that TRF abends are not percolated      *
*                      to IMS.                                 *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
If TRF code abends in multiple IMS regions concurrently, the
abends may be percolated to IMS, cauing U113 abends.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The TRF recovery routines have been changed to prevent the
percolation to IMS.  Dumps and diagnostic data will be
produced for TRF, and TRF will turn itself off to prevent
further dumps.
